Monsanto’s Roundup Rewards® Program to Include Select Max® Herbicide in 2008
Fast-acting herbicide included for volunteer Roundup Ready® Corn 2 control in soybeans, cotton
WALNUT CREEK, CA AND ST. LOUIS, MO (March 13, 2008)—In 2008, Monsanto’s Roundup Rewards® Program will include Valent U.S.A. Corporation’s Select Max® Herbicide with Inside Technology™ for additional Roundup Ready® crops. The Volunteer Roundup Ready Corn 2 Cost-Share Allowance element of the Roundup Rewards program will be expanded to include cotton in addition to soybeans.
“The Roundup Rewards Program offers Roundup Ready farmers protection of their investment when they use Select Max to control volunteer Roundup Ready corn,” Jamie Nielson, Select Max brand manager for Valent said.
Farmers who use Select Max within the Roundup Rewards recommendations will get an economic solution with the best performance for the farm. The 2008 Volunteer Roundup Ready Corn 2 Cost-Share Allowance will be structured as follows:
