CLAAS Launches The Xerion 3800 “Big Brother” To The Reputable Xerion 3300

Equipped with more power, more flexibility and more intelligence, CLAAS announces the launch of the XERION 3800 with up to 382 hp. The XERION can out-haul, out-maneuver and out-match conventional tractors holding the title of an allseason machine with unmatched versatility.

The new XERION 3800 model is available in three option types:

• XERION 3800 TRAC (cab fixed in central position)

• XERION 3800 TRAC VC (cab rotates 180 degrees)

• XERION 3800 SADDLE TRAC (cab fixed over position of the engine)

This all-season machine makes the most of its power and capacity in an assortment of agricultural uses; tillage, planting, mowing, spraying, high-capacity manure work, silage pit work and grain or silage hauling. The XERION is also capable of snow removal, ditch mowing and forestry work.

“This is a multi-functional machine that can be pushed to the limits and you’ll continue to see efficiencies in your operation,” explained Bob Armstrong, North American Product Marketing Manager. “The XERION 3800 is built with the technology and innovation that challenges conventional machines in power, comfort and the force at which it completes its work.”

Operators will find the XERION 3800 to be easy and comfortable to operate. To maneuver, all that is needed is the accelerator pedal and the multifunction control lever, which allows full control of machine functions.

Permanent four wheel drive, 100% front and rear differential lock, a 100% central differential lock (locks front with rear axle) along with four equally large tires maximize floatation and traction while maintaining a small 20 ft. turning radius. With full-frame construction design, the 57%/43% - front/rear weight distribution provides excellent tire traction at low air pressure to reduce soil compaction and fuel consumption even while taking on the heaviest of loads.

According to Armstrong, “The XERION 3800 offers the greatest versatility found in any one machine in North America. With a Caterpillar six-cylinder engine and continuously variable ZF transmission, the power and simple agility of such a unique machine will set a new standard of flexibility and in-the-field performance for CLAAS.”

With the touch of a button on the control unit, the XERION can be driven in six different steering modes to make best use of the machine’s potential while minimizing fuel costs and soil disturbances, e.g. with crab steer. The XERION provides superior maneuverability with its intelligent four-wheel steering, presenting the greatest flexibility to producers of any type of operation. On the XERION 3800 TRAC VC (Variable Cab) the entire cab can be rotated 180 degrees in less than 30 seconds without leaving the seat, enabling the operator to view rear-mounted implements even while reversing. Operators also benefit from a panoramic view of the landscape to help keep everything under control. The CLAAS XERION is truly an all-season machine.
